Detection of general corrosion, pittings, in-wall anomalies, pinholes and other anomalies associated with loss of pipeline wall metal is the basis of pipeline integrity maintenance programs.
High resolution magnetic detectors developed by NGPME LLC are capable of detecting and sizing such anomalies as: metal losses, transverse cracks and spiral weld anomalies, have one of the best characteristics in terms of determining angular position of features and distance travelled, increased probability of differentiation between internal and external defects, and low noise level, which allows to detect background corrosion more accurately.
